Bakata Project is made up of musicians from different cultural backgrounds who share a deep passion for jazz and the rich musical heritage of South America. This high-energy Band, based in Berlin and Rostock, brings world-class Afro-Latin music to the stage, blending influences from Colombia, Cuba, and Brazil. With virtuosic playing, vibrant rhythms, and expressive melodies, the band delivers captivating performances that move both heart and feet.
At the core of the ensemble are the original compositions of Colombian bassist Dario Guerrero, which fuse the rhythmic and melodic richness of traditional South American genres with the harmonic colors of modern jazz.
